Because they think they are going to miss out on something. My little 4year old boy loves to stay up last and watch tv cause he thinks cartoons are going to never come back on but then when he gets from school he watches them over again. Children are a trip but i love mine

There time on earth has been so limited that any time they have to go to bed they percieve that as misssing something. They dont want to miss out on the excitement that might go on when they are asleep.

Because, we children (13) have trouble falling alseep immediately and want to do something fun. Like videogames (teens), stuffed toys (me and younger generation), or anything but sleeping. Kids can't just immediately fall asleep, they're hyperactive but when they get older they'll be lazier don't worry!

Have 7 of my own, they are grown and gone. They are afraid they might miss out on something good or interesting. Try listening to some soothing music or give them some herbal tea while you are listening to soothing music, it worked for my children. Good Luck!!
