Michael X,

At least come up to the modern era! What's wrong with you? You haven't heard of the Gospel. Jesus saves. The just shall live by faith. Haven't you heard that before? Are you a wall? What's wrong with you? OHhhhh, I get it your dyslexic!
It's Grace; unmerited favor, through faith; trust.

Wow! I thought everyone would have heard this before! Didn't you know? Jesus came and fulfilled the Law of Moses. He was the Messiah! Whoa, dude! If you have any other questions I'll be glad to fill you in, okay?
Galatians 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

See, It's faith! Yippie!!!! There's just so much to go through. Reread what I wrote in case you missed anything. This is wonderful, a person that never heard of Jesus Christ! Whoa!

It isn't so much an issue for those who do not take the bible literally. I personally have become convicted on this in this past year and find that skirts and dresses are more comfortable than pants.

The concept is modesty for women. For men it is a matter of plain tact- pretty obvious that men wearing skirts isn't right..

And the world was created in 6 (literal days) 24 hours each...Yeah,Right!
So , do not take everything by just one scripture alone, learn to reference through the entire Bible. Men in Kilts and sisters in pants, all doing the Lords work, may be farming, nursing, witnessing from house to house, all in native dress to the land they live in..
The Bible is referring to homosexual activity, Not Christians hard at work in the Lords Name!
It also refers to homosexuals as teachable and re trainable.
So don't get too up on your soap box bud! Maybe you need to stop judging lest you be judged by your own terms PAL! Glad I am not in your shoes.

Do you realize how long ago the Bible was written? God doesn't expect people, christians, to not move foreward with times. And wearing pants or a skirt will not make you burn. Go ahead Play your little word ames, I understand, it's all you have.

If this were the 1800's you might have a point about women wearing pants, but I agree with you about men wearing skirts. It's not the Lord's will for people to dress up like members of the opposite sex.

Naaaaaa. Your exegesis is waaaaaaaay off.

Men should dress like men, and women should dress like women. Plain and simple. Be what you are.

Clothing styles change with culture and time. No problem. If I went to India I would wear a sari, but my husband wouldn't. Likewise, I can't wear pants made for men in America. My hips won't allow it!

It's really just about being comfortable with the body you're in, and being honest with that.

Relaxing...

as a jewish person whose religion is based on the old testament, i can tell you that this is cultural. mens clothing and womens clothing are different in every society. jews live in every society. there are japanese jewish men who wear robes that look very female, does this mean they are breaking the commandment? no. they go by what is exclusive to men and women in that society. in this society, most clothing is not exclusive to only men or only women and so all clothing is pretty much up for grabs to both sexes.

i dont see how christians should have been asked this in the first place since this law only applies to jewish people, and jesus apparently "did away with the law" anyway.

If the tradition is for a man to wear a skirt, for instance a kilt, long before this Judeo-Christian teaching comes, what does that mean? What about places where everyone wears togas? Do you even know what the shepherds who wrote this actually wore?

Always look for the balance in scriptures.

The Old Testament ordinance you cite had to do with folks who dress up like the opposite gender. Generally, deceitfullness was the questionable deed.
