Cancer is about 10% genetic the remaining 90% is all environmental. There are so many precautions that you can use to prevent it I do not know where to start. There are also many ways to treat it, My wife has stage 4 lymphoma and was close to death 2 months ago. Now she is feeling better than she has in 10 years due mainly to the alternatives we are using.

It is genetic. There are certain genetic tests now that can detect if you are a carrier to certain cancers. Can you believe that you can find out if you are going to get cancer before you do???? It is true. It can tell you what kind of cancer you are predisposed to also! I know that my friend was able to change her diet (she would describe her shakes packed with carots, spinach, and a whole bunch of stuff). She was able to have the blood testing done and it showed her that she was going to have breast and ovarian cancer. Unfortunately, she was too late to receive the test and lost her battle to cancer about a year later. Good luck to you!

Many researchers believe that cancer is genetically linked. One of the precautions should be regular medical testing and making your doctor aware of your family history of the disease. Early detection is the key to survival and recovery.
Believe it or not excessive alcohol consumption is related to breast cancer.

There is a lot of information on preventing cancer in the literature. Everything from green tea to sunscreen. Google cancer prevention and start reading as the science on this is really booming, yet you never read about it.

Some cancers do seem to "travel in families" -- most notably breast cancer and colon cancer. If you have relatives who've had it, you should get more frequent checkups than you otherwise would. Most cancers are curable if they're caught early enough, so be aware of what you should be looking for.

In the 1960’s, Professor Linus Pauling, winner of two Nobel prizes, proved that there are over 60 deficiency diseases, some as debilitating as arthritis, others as well known as osteoporosis, which can be traced to mineral deficiencies alone. After further research, he summarized his revolutionary findings as:
“YOU CAN TRACE EVERY SICKNESS, EVERY DISEASE AND EVERY AILMENT, TO A MINERAL DEFICIENCY”

you probably will not like my answer but it is true.. while there is some hereditary links to cancer the flat truth is most cancers are caused by what we are putting into our bodies... both inhaled and ingested through our foods.. americans have the highest cancer rates in the world guess why ... simple answer ..our food and drug administration is owned by drug companies... they tell us what they want us to think and we are dumb enough to believe them..
