In my previous high school I was suspended for 5 days for a fight. Now I've transferred over to a new school, and I feel this fight coming up on me. Everyone knows its going to happen, and it's too late to back off. If we were caught would I get expelled. I'm a sophomore and i'm 15 and he's a senior I think he's 17 or he might be even 18 which makes him a legal adult right? Would I get expelled? I live in California, so I have the feeling that after you've reached 5 days of suspension it's expulsion after that....

I wouldnt know what to say because in houston fighting wont get you expelled unless u fight a whole lot. My best advice is to try to avoid it or try to talk it over with the boy. i dont get in alot of fights but it may get u suspended. Take it from a Sophmore in High School who sees fights daily! Hope i helped!

Expulsion is up to the disciplinary board at your school. However, they do adhere to strict guidelines set by the district.

If I were you, given your situation, I wouldn't fight. It's a lose - lose situation.

If school officials find out that you were planning to fight ahead of time, and you do it on school grounds, then more than likely you will both be expelled.

Depending on how bad things get, both of you can even be arrested.

You don't have to fight to defend yourself. However you do it, do it the smarter way.

most likely yes. especially considering your prior record. it would be easy for your new school to consult that and couple it with this new (pending) fight and expel you. doesn't matter if the other guy's 18. if he's still in school you will be treated as equals.
my advice is talk to your counselor and tell them what's going to happen. try and get someone on your side or at least understanding your point of view.

i am sorry you have to go through this. there are good parts and bad parts in cali. but it is the same in every state. fighting doesn't solve anything. it just causes more trouble. change your ways. if you are talking bad about people, stop. you need to get around positive people. you will regret it later if you miss out on school. people say it all the time. be good and ask god to help you. for some reason it is easier to bad than good but the rewards for being good are excellent.

Talk with your school resource officer or others in charge and try to get out of fighting him. BUt if unable to and he attascks you try to have writness you can depend on and beat the stew out of him first. Bullies depend on people who wants to stay out of trouble, or people younger than they are for punching bags. BUt a busted nose or good solid kick to his family jewles usually discourages them. Sometimes it is all they understand. MY children ran into the same thing and settled it with their fists after nothing else was left.
Fighting will get you both supended unless you can prove self defense.

If you participate in ANY fight for ANY reason other than self-defense, then, YES, you should be suspended and possibly even arrested for assault.
