I have never been in a school where I had to shower for PE. In fact when I did it the other girls look at me as if I was strange because I was immodest. I wanted to be clean after PE before I changed back into my regular clothing.

I'm not in high school anymore but I did go to two schools with showers, one of which we were required to shower after gym, which seemed kind of awkward with other girls around at the time. But we were always fresh!

They can't require you to take a shower. I don't think that would be legal. All one would have to do is say "my religion forbids public nudity"...
