I don't know about that specific situation, however I'm certain that the Lord has preserved my life on many occasions when I was totally unaware of it. Even before I became a Christian I realized that someone was looking out for me as I lived a wild and risky party lifestyle. I had never been to church before but I used to look out the window each morning and thank God for another day of life.
Acts 18:9 And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, "Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, 10 for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people."
2 Timothy 2:19 But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity."

We do all have something wrong with us - and the entire world does. It's called Sin. It's our inability and unwillingness to clearly see our God and Creator and live in a right relationship with Him as He intended us to. And, yes, the Lord Jesus Christ heals us from this soul-sickness - not just once, but constantly and repeatedly. But we have to want to take the cure. He does not force it on us, and He does not do it without us consenting to it. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock".

Why God would even care to heal one infinitesimal dust speck is beyond my reasoning. If you ever look at a map of what the universe supposedly looks like, you'll see how truly microscopic our race is, and when you realize there are multiple universes, it'll hit you even harder. I believe in a God, but refuse to anthropomorphize God.
And if someone had cancer, TB, or AIDS I think they would know it.

Anything is possible with God. Of course he can heal us. And he does. But, the best thing is that we know he can an will, if we ask, and believe.

I believe that and lots of others things. I hope when I get to heaven I can sit down and Jesus will tell me all the ways He protected me throughout my life, from all sorts of dangers, so I can personally kneel in gratitude to Him.

Yeah. He healed you of your common sense. You no longer have to deal with it anymore, because the church and it's ideals think for you. Are ya feelin' it, sister?

I do! I think to many Christians forget that God still works miracles, even in our screwed up world.
