I love contacts. I had daily wear contacts, but found that when I lost one, or tore one, I had no more lenses!
I started wearing disposables and found it ten times better. They are more expensive, but easier to keep clean. Plus if you lose one or tear one, you have a replacement. They are very easy to wear as long as you clean them properly and insert and remove with clean hands!

I have been wearing contacts since I was 16, I am now 22 and I love them. I wear disposables, they are great! I hurts only if you get something in your eye, but other than that, after the first couple days of getting used to them, they don't bother you at all. But, I've tried colored contacts that would have made my eyecolor purple, and they were the worst things that I could possibly have ever had. They hurt my eyes, made them red, scratchy, and watery. But that could just be me, I know a lot of people that use colored contacts. Good luck with any decision you make, I love my contacts and hopefully so will you!

Sometimes my colored contact lenses really aggravate my eyes too, i absolutely hate this, like little stinging pains always going and coming from the corner of your eyes, sometimes i have found that they are in the wrong eye, or maybe even inside out. Hold the contact up at the tip of your fingers, and just have a look to see if there is any little cut off sections around the lens this could also be the reason.

If put on on the right side, they do not feel uncomfortable.
The first time i try them on, it took me almost half an hour to get them on my eyes. After about a week of using them, I can put them on in less than a minute, but I need a mirror doing it.
My wife can put on and remove contacts from her eyes in the dark or without a mirror though and she has been using them for years...

You just have to get used to them. It's sort of like wearing a ring. You feel it there when you first start wearing it, but after a while you don't even feel it. The hardest thing about contacts is putting them in and taking them out. I had to struggle a lot to learn that. But it's worth the effort. You should NEVER sleep in them, even the ones that claim you can. My daughter slept in hers and got an infection, even though she took good care and kept them clean. Don't risk it.

i got contacts when i was 20 years old and i am now 53. i love my contacts. they are easy to wear and are never uncomfortable. i never feel my contacts during the day. if you get contacts and they are not comfortable, go back to your doctor because that means the fit isn't quite right. the hardest part for me at the beginning was learning to put them in -- you are putting something in your eye and that seems weird. but once you get over that, you will love them. no more thick glasses for me!!!

For most people they are pretty comfortable and easy to wear. When I first got mine, I could sleep in them for days and not even notice (I wouldn't try this yourself). However, my eyes really dried out when I started birth control pills and I had to switch to glasses. If you have dry eyes, contacts can be really painful and can cause extra blood vessels to grow on your corneas. But otherwise, it should be smooth sailing. Just be sure to replace the lenses as often as your doctor recommends.

I would go for uncomfortable contact lenses over glasses any day. Glasses have always been a pet peeve. I hated them since 4th grade till I was 26 yrs. old!

i've had contacts for about 10 years now. i can't feel them, they are easy to wear. somtimes if you get a eyelash stuck under them it can get annoying but you get good at taking them out. also some tend to dry up at night before i go to bed. personally i think they are a million times better than glasses, good luck!
