Deuteronomy 23:12 -14 tells how TO GO scripturally/biblically: “Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad: And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee: For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.”
This just shows how Christian fundies with bent minds can use the bible to ‘justify’ any bullbleep they can hatch up. Yuck, it's disgusting, but scriptural.

Mike. Um. Old Testament. Before indoor plumbing (or indoor anything else, for that matter).

And, actually, thanks to modern plumbing technology, our camps (homes) ARE holy (clean from refuse).

You sit (or stand), you do your thing, you flush. Water go down de hooole!!! Viola! Cleanliness!

Furthermore, people in under/undeveloped countries still follow the same CLEAN guidelines.

So, what's your point? Other than showing your ignorance about ancient civilizations?

Yes, but christians are no longer under law, but under grace...

Romans 3
19Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.

21But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement,[i] through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

So what do we do when it's 30 below 0 and the ground won't dig?
Does that mean we all need to live in the middle east too?

Fundamentalists, especially Baptist persuasion, engage in unduly selective reading and interpretation. They make the Bible fit their narrow, prejudiced agenda. This is the Best Answer.

I think you need to just get a life. I mean, you are making too much of a potty. Of course he expects us to use modern lavatories, not poop outside. Grow up, & get a life.

When you flush the toilet after going pee or pooh it gets washed down the tubes and goes "outside the camp."

This text shows us how to be hygienic when ridding our wastes.

It must be buried or disease would spread, only nowadays we don't goto where the waste is kept, we send the waste by flushing the toilet!

Those old laws applied only to those ancient Jewish men that lived in those times. It is the NEW Testament that applies to the Gentiles, you and me. Get it right before you blab.
