Aerobics is a form of exercise where everyone gets in a big room together. And then a failed movie star like...oh say Jane Fonda or Suzanne Summers then comes in. They start jumping around and barking orders...and those in the room, they follow. Everyone starts sweating and panting. Then after about 35 minutes of this--everyone stops.

I guess its all on tape.

Aerobics means 'exercise that requires air (or oxygen) intake'. Anaerobic exercises (like weight training) do not rely on oxygen intake to do the exercises...of course we all have to breath to live...but aerobic means 'with oxygen'. Running takes your breath away, slow weight training doesn't.
