i believe G-d, which is why i dont believe in the christian bible.
the only written work actually done by G-d himself is genesis, exodus, leviticus, numbers, and deuteronomy.

The problem is that the Bible is so riddled with mistranslations, mistakes and misquotes that anyone that believes they are reading the inspired word of God is sadly mistaken. It would be nice to have a book that spells out what God is all about, what he wants and wishes. Unfortunately, like all other ancient religions, it is just a collection of stories, tribal myths and poorly written history. Why don't you spend some time reading the Egyptian Book of the Dead? It would amaze you, how close to Christian values the ancient Egyptian beliefs were. You don't suppose, the writers of the Bible could have borrowed material from those nasty Egyptians? Well, they had no qualms, stealing the story of the flood from the Sumerians and Babylonians. I could go on, but it's a waste of time. Most people have so much invested in their believes, that it is almost impossible to change them. Try looking at the information below, but be careful, it might put a dent in your Christian armor.

You have to read the Bible to know who is telling you the truth. There are many people out there that lie, and the only truth is the Word of God. Most people don't read the Bible to know the truth. They just listen on Sunday and take the Preachers word for it. We have been told to find out the truth, and read.

I believe the Bible.
Because though many work hard to twist the teachings, it is easy to deflect false teachings. Any teaching that creates any contradiction, with any other portion of the Bible is obviously wrong. So then the person directing you is either misguided or deliberately trying to lie.
Check every teaching and test every saying to find the truth.
I did.
