My 12 & 13 year old go to the their rooms around 9, watch tv for about 30 minutes, then the electronic devices of any sort are off at 9:30 and 30 mins of reading puts them right to sleep by 10 - that's for school nights.

My 12 year old heads to bed at 9:00...maybe 15-20 minutes of reading...but is in bed winding down at 9:00. She does get up at 6:15 pretty much without asking. I am sure if she was allowed to stay up until 10 or 11 this wouldn't be the case.

I would say for a 12-13 y/o 10pm is good and for 14-15 y/o 11pm. 15 and on I think kids are smart enough to figure out when they need to go to bed, but if they abuse it and stay up until 2am every night then some limits need to be set.

im 14 nd my bed time is 12-1 if its not a skool night but usually i go around 10:54

grr im gonna be 17 soon
and my dad makes me go to bed at 10!!
i feel like im 7... not 17!!!
thats just not fair.
so i think
12-13 y.o - 10 p.m
14-15 y.o - 11 p.m
then 16 and up they should be able to decide.
they should be smart enough.
but they also shouldnt abuse the priviledge!!
