Do we (Christians) worship the same God as Muslims.
It makes sense that people on the other side of the world would worship diffrently and have a diffrent name for God, the olny real God.

This is not an offensive question, this is a common question many people have but are afraid to ask.
Allah is derived from the root word from ancient language, which has made its way into Arabic. This word has been used to describe God long before the Roman language or in modern English came to be. Furthermore, this word is genderless, and and cannot be made into a pleural. Hence, its overwhelming popular use.

Currently this word is used by Arabic speaking Muslims, Christians, Jews, Caldians, and other monotheistic religions. If you pick up and read and Arabic Bible, you will note that the word Allah is used in exact spelling and pronunciation.

Also, some populations in non-Arabic speaking Muslim countries may not use Allah, or God. They may choose to say Lord's Name in their native language.

The Lord, the one and only diety worthy of worship is called Allah in arabic. We do not worship the same trinity God that Christians worship. We worship a God that is one and only ONE, Allah the one that all creation turns to, He begots and does not beggotten, and there is nothing Comparable to God.

Does the Lord have many names? Not real names. I may call you paula but is that your real name?

God does not have a name I have come to realize. The only thing the Jews knew as Gods name was the anagram YHWH which literally meant "to be."

We need names to distinguish ourselves, God requires no names becase he is unique and Lord of all, though he will be called many things by men.

Muslims are no different. The real Q is, who believes Jesus is the Son of God? Muslims believe in the God of Abraham but deny Jesus was the Son of God.

My answer is NO. This is another huge theological issue. The God of the Christians is a Trinity. However, Allah isn't a Trinity. We only worship to one true God (Allah) Muslims are descendant of Abraham. We believe Moses, Isaac, David, Joseph, Jesus and Mohammed are prophets of God.

Yes, Allah is one of the names of God. All muslims know that they worship the one God along with Christians and Jews. Why don't Christians know that?

Well actually Allah, is Arabic for 'The God,' & Christians of Arab descent call God Allah.

So you are right, technically.

Being that the Muslims recognize Jesus as a prophet, just not the son of god, I think it's pretty obvious Allah=god. You both worship paper mache, and you kill each other over it!

It really doesn't matter what you call the idea in your head that you think of as god. As for being the same as Allah, well, ask yourself if the muslims have the same idea as your's.

Very good! Open minded! Arabic is a semitic language. The structure is totally non-European. Allah is the arabic word for God,
just like Dios is the Spanish word for God, etc...etc...
