Hey there, I'm starting my senior year in high school and I've already noticed this girl that I sort of like. She's new to my high school and I think she only has one new friend so far. If I can get to know her a little better, maybe I would be interested in asking her out because she seems nice. She sits beside me and infront of me in 2 of my classes and I've only said a few words to her. How could I get off to a good friendly start with her and see how things go from there? I'm just not sure how I could do that because she always seems to be around another girl who has become her new friend and is showing her around the school. I'm a fairly good looking guy so I don't think there are any turn off's for me to worry about, but I don't want to be a stalker or anything :P just some simple tips would be appreciated, Thanks

Keep in mind, I'm not sure if I can ask her for lunch or anything like that because she's always hanging around her new friend here. I know her friend Stephanie who is nice but I think she would be on to me if I approached when she was with her. The thing is that her friend is a bit of an issue. Let's just say that a year ago me and her hit it off a little and when I asked if whe wanted to go see a movie, she said that she already had a BF. She was very misleading :P

If she's in a few of your classes then you've got some really good openings. Ask her if you can check the answers for your homework against her answers. Or maybe you can get together and study before a test. Or just ask, hey did you finish that assignment? What did you think about number 7? That one took me a long time.... You could ask for help with something.
Then just try to get conversation going and learn more about her. Ask her what she did last night or on the weekend and find out what her hobbies and interests are outside of school. Then you'll have some ideas for things that you can do with her based on what she likes.

First off, you don't have to approach it as a possible date invite. Take the time to get to know a little about her besides what she looks like you might find she is really repulsive to you in some way. Ok, so she's not repulsive, how about you just take the time to ask her "So how do you like it here so far?" or "So where did you move from?" Just general questions to let her know you've noticed her and maybe offer to show her around to a couple of places that she might not know about, maybe you have the inside track on a killer record store or a great open mic night. Just be casual and confident! You can do it.

damn that last detail sux. but hey if u dont ask her out and someone does, and she really likes this person, then u'll feel like **** and a pussy because u dint get her first but u should also get to kno her a lil but b4 u decide u wanna to take HER out u kno so its not as awkward but leave enough so u guys ahve something to talk about, live life no regrets. and if she says no, then well she wasnt worth the time. really what do u have to lose? it mite be awkward but hey she prolly wont do too good with that wierd misleading chick. do what u want but remember this quote it will help u in more ways then u can imagine . we only live once u kno " live life no regrets"
