You don't need to "accept" their beliefs. But, you do need to pray for your enemies. Love your enemies. If it's a take-over with terrorism, lives, country, loved ones, then fight for your rights. Live in peace if at all possible.

You need to read your history. None of the crusades of the Middle Ages had any lasting success. In fact loads of the crusaders died.
