I don't think it will hurt them at all, if we take into consideration that the democratic party has done an equally as bad a job, if not worse. Neither party has really confronted this issue. I believe that they are beginning to see that something has to be done, and that this nations people are not going to stand for it any longer.

All that passing illegal immigration reform could do is help them. But I feel that they really are beyond repair at this point. The polls don't look good, and all I hear is that many are voting against the republicans. I feel they are going to lose some of their seats in the upcoming election.

The Republican house is the only thing keeping the Senate bill from passing, that is the one the Democrats want and President Bush wants also, that bill is amnesty, the House will not pass it they are saving us at the moment if the Republicans get voted out and loose the house we will be an open border society, because the liberal democrats will pass that bill, that the Senate and the President wants. The Republicans are staying with their constituents and what they want they are deifying the President and have lost loyalty for him. The Republicans want to secure the borders first then focus on the immigration reform.

It will help the House Republicans that killed the Senate Bill. Voting for the Senate Bill will hurt others. I don't think 'the Republicans' will be hurt by it. There are populist Republicans who will be strengthened and globalist, big-business Republicans who should be worried, individually, for their careers.

I don't know that it will. I will be casting my vote for whoever plans on dealing with the issues, in the manner I think is correct, regardless of political affiliation. So if the Republicans are doing that, I will vote for them.

You're not MY boss, and to all appearances, Congress has finally 'seen the light', that the vast majority of US citizens are wholeheartedly AGAINST illegal immigration of any kind. Took em long enough...
