Everytime I talk to my ex-girlfriend, I end up leaving the conversation fairly sad. I miss her and it's hard to talk to her as if I never knew her.

I tried to just cut her off, I told her I couldn't talk to her for a while and she got sad and asked me not to, so I said I'd try.

Today we talked and I got sad again. I'm tired of being sad. I want to be happy. Do I just cut her off, or what? Is there any way to prevent being sad? I don't want to cut her off, I still love her, but it's so hard to talk to her.

Please help me...

I have told her how I feel over and over.

The night we broke up (she broke up with me), she was yelling and saying "I will NEVER date you again!" and hung up. She acts kind of like that isn't the case anymore, but she doesn't act too optimistic. I fear she's playing with my mind.

I experienced that with my girlfriend for seven years...we rarely had a happy talk...NOW shes my wife...we love each other & we communicate well & are happy together...

i think there is a communication gap between you two...stop talking about the sad part of life...i think you are like me before (a sad person) try to be happy together by talking about thing that both interest you...you & your girlfriend might be in the brinck of breaking up....hold on, if you really love her be strong...this will pass & when it does..God, you will be as happy as i am.

we also brokeup after 6 years...after a year i went back to her & proposed...she said YES!

I make it a habit to never consort with people whom I've had romantic encounters before after we call it quits. There's just oo much pain there. Too many memories. It's hard to cut people off forever, and even worse to have to deal with them again and again.

why is she your ex girlfriend? Did she break up with you? If so tell her that it is hurting too much for you to just be friends that you want your old relationship back and that if she doesn't then you have to break the ties to save your heart from breaking. if there is a chance to renew the relationship then go for it.

aww i know hun.
it is always hard to get over an ex...
but if you give it time,
u eventually will get over her.
i promise.
in the mean time, you shouldnt really "cut her off" persay...
but maybe just limit how much you see her.
good luck hun and say strong!

It sounds like you both need a break from each other. If you want to be together try counseling. Best of luck to you.

If there is no joy in what you have right now, cut her off. It will be hard at first, but you'll be free to find someone else.
