"Action may not always bring happiness; but there is no happiness without action." - Benjamin Disraeli

Are you really happy now? What have you done or gone through to become happy?

Do you regret any of the actions you have done, as instead of happiness they only brought you pain?

Thank you for taking the time to ponder this over. Have a nice day. :)

I believe that quote is quite true.
I'm not completely happy now, but I'm working on it.
I have gone through years of thought and judgment to try to become happy.
I regret many harsh judgments I have made or words I have said. They have brought me pain by reminding me of how saddened I used to be.
Sometimes you just have to move on, but you can never forget your past.

You're welcome, you too!!

I agree. There are a lot of things that needed to be acted upon. They may not give the best results yet you have tried anyway. In my case,
I did some actions which produced the opposite of what I expected. For instance, I married the man I thought wasn't too good enough for me.I was mistaken. He was the perfect man for me. There was also a time when I was tempted to follow or fall for a married man's charm. I acted differently and I was saved from shame. There were some things though that I regret not doing. These always make me sad. It could have been better if I acted out during those days.

Therefore, I say and agree that actions may not always bring happiness. It's sad or bad if you didn't do anything.

No happiness is available without action, but not every action will bring you happiness, i agree with this quote. It's deep, but not hard to understand.

Right now I am happy. I've gone through "life" to make me happy. Taken the good with the bad and learned from it.

Regret is horrible to live with. I try not to regret but alway to forgive. Either myself, or someone else.

Have a wonderful day! =]

Interesting quote. I agree w/o action there is no result, happy or sad. I don't regret the past, we have to move on, otherwise we will definately be unhappy.

without pain you have no growth ...so no I don't regret the past mistakes just wonder how different things would have been...hapiness is a state of mind...I may be content but not truly happy...
i do beleive that action of any kind is better than no action at all.

sort of like damned if you do and damned if you don't. either way, it tells one not to be caught up in the downfalls we all face but to focus on the goals ahead and the bounty that will surely follow from hard work and diligence.

It's better to regret something you've done, than something you haven't done
