I work at a dealer in the parts department and that is a common problem. take it in to your local dealer and they "should" change the whole cluster under warranty. It should take about a day to order it.

Hey, don't panic, its normal for the oil pressure gage to fluctuate under normal driving conditions, this as a result of different engine speeds or rpm. Though look in the owners manual, in there it will say what the ideal oil pressure should range from, I know that on my Jeep Grand the oil pressure will regularly fluctuate from 20-60. It's normal, and all vehicles that have the oil pressure gages do that. So don't worry about it.

Oil Pressure will fluctuate depending on the RPM the engine is running at. At an idle you should see at least 20-30psi oil pressure, and higher pressures at higher RPMs. You'll also notice that the oil pressure will be noticeably higher when the engine is first started when cold. As the oil warms up and flows better... you'll notice that the pressure will be a little lower. If the pressure should drop lower than about 15lbs of pressure, then I would suspect a problem.

Your oil gauge should move up and down. When you press the accelerator pedal the oil pressure will go up and then when you slow down the oil pressure should go down. it is normal to fluctuate depending on the load and how fast or slow you are going.

If this is really bothering you and it's a new car then take in under warranty to be checked out. Maybe your oil pressure sending unit is loose.

Just a normal thing for a GM. All of my Chevy or GMC has allways done that.
