Shave your head

2006-09-06 15:11:45 · answer #1 · answered by da_hammerhead 6 · 0 1

the only home remedy i have ever heard of that works is shaving the kid/yourself bald. to get rid of the little buggers your gonna have to go out and get rid or your dr could even prescribe a wash called quill... if this is a school age child keep him/her home a day or two you also have to get the bedding spray and be persistant oh and most of all dont be embarrassed everybody gets lice at some time just remember no matter what people tell you that your kid/you is dirty or something dont listen because lice actually appears when your kid/your hair is too clean meaning the shampoo you use on your kids/your hair worked to well and took out most if not all of the natural oils in the hair that helps so lice cant stick to the head....good luck........if you still want a home remedy you might look on webmd.com they might have some hints or look up "the book of home remedies".....

'Mens Hair Tonic. It's made by Vaseline
Its oil made for use in the hair so pour it on your hair an leave it on all day if you want but it should smoother the lice in about two hours and it washes out easily. My grandad has been using this for 74 years and has never had head lice that I know of,plus it help to condition your hair. Also it won't stink like mayo will, and remember that vinegar is an acid it can cause damage to your eyes if it gets in them.

There's not a home remedy. Go to the store and buy some RID. Then, make sure you wash all your linens in HOT water, and put all stuffed animals in a black trash bag for three days. Spray your entire house down with RAID.
