That means the scores posted before the July cut off date, not August. THe index came out on Aug 1

It depends on when the club that you keep your handicap with, transmits your scores to the USGA. It could be through August or it could be up to the date they transmit. My club used to post every other week, so I would have 2 different Aug indexs throughout the month

out here in california in the ncga, they stopped after the 25th, but they have since upgraded there computer system and now it tracks your cap until the last day of the month for you index.
