Yes, having been a member of the overweight club then turning 40 and because of stress, divorce, flu or whatever evolved into the underweight club. Constantly hearing comments of how thin I am. Funny since I had to deal with the fat comments since birth.

YES! We put so much pressure on people to lose weight and slim down this is an often over looked group. They too feel as if they are not good enough because they oftentimes do not develop at the same rate as other peers who are of normal or average weights. Also, it may be cute in your 20's to have to buy childrens clothes to get something that fits, but in the 30's or 40's it can be extremely embarressing.

No- there's way less stigma attached to being underweight. (Look at fashion models...)
It also tends to be less visible, unless you're wearing a bikini.

In college, I was 5'-9" and 110 pounds. My ribs and hipbones stuck out- but when I put on a T-shirt and jeans, you couldn't tell- and I frequently got asked (in an envious way) what my secret was to stay so slim. (Answer- I don't eat much...Stress can kill the appetite...)

Yes during my life I've been both. When I was in High School (a long time ago) I was skinny and people used to kid me about it. Now I've got some extra poundage I feel just as bad as I did in High School about my looks.

People are gonna give you the business no matter how pretty and perfect you are. It's politics. Any given bunch of people are gonna decide who's the leader by pushing each other, testing how far each can go.

Working for pretty looks is wishing for approval. Approval is pretty superficial.
