I’ve been to the watchtower site and have read the information provided. I’ve done searches using both google and ask, but more times than not, the only sites provided are those slandering against Jehovah Witness and their beliefs. I’ve noticed on here that many if not most are the same way, and I’m sure that I’ll receive ignorant responses to this, responses that slander against Witness and maybe myself for being interested in this particular religion and wanting to learn as much as I possibly can. I do realize that I can contact the head office, have a in home bible study with a Jehovah’s Witness, go down to the Kingdom Hall and study there, but I’d personally like to converse with a Jehovah’s Witness on here to learn what I can, before doing so. I have spoken with one person, who has been studying for a year, but this person was only able to tell me very little. Jehovah Witness are into spreading the truth, so why does it seem almost impossible to find one to converse with on here?

I am a Witness and have been baptized many years. Feel free to e-mail me anytime. I love sharing Bible truths with others. We are so close to the end now and many more meek ones need to know about Jehovah's Kingdom and what it will soon accomplish in heaven and also on the earth.

Think about it. Love is the identifying mark of true Christianity. (John 13:35) And though we have and continue to study with people via snail mail, the best way to study is person to person, in order to experience the love that Jehovah and Jehovah's people have for you.

Add to the fact that via email you don't know who you are really conversing with, nor does the one studing with you truly gets to know you.

I found it interesting that when I commented at work that I was studing with Jehovah's Witnesses, everyone at work became an expert on the bible and upon Jehovhah's Witnesses.

You will notice that most of the attacks are on individuals who failed to live by Jehovah's standards. This is like blaming your husband or wife because your employer yelled at you.

Studying with a person beats all other forms of study. Locate the nearest Kingdom Hall and ask for a study, You won't regret it.

As this questioner has noticed, this website and others tend to be insulting and discouraging to true Christians; the internet is filled with "bad association". Jehovah's Witnesses tend to be quite careful regarding their associations; they prefer to socialize with their Christian brothers and sisters.

(1 Corinthians 15:33) Bad associations spoil useful habits.

(Proverbs 13:20) He that is walking with wise persons will become wise

(Hebrews 10:24-25) Consider one another to incite to love and fine works, ...encouraging one another, and all the more so as you behold the day drawing near.

The bible is the only infallible inspired Word of God available today, so really a careful and humble study of the Scriptures may be enough to lead a sincere person to true worship. Using the Bible as their sole authority, Jehovah's Witnesses explain their teachings and beliefs quite thoroughly on their official website, or as the question mentions, a personal appointment can be scheduled.

You can contact me. I'm a JW too. I can show you why Jehovah's Witnesses have the truth and why they are true Christians. It is better though to go the Kingdom hall and have someone to study you personally. I've also looked at a lot of Anti-JWs arguments but what I can say is that a lot of them are half truth & half lies and gross misinterpretations.

If you have any questions for now, please send me an email at dellf12345@yahoo.com. Thanks

why witnesses dont favor this type of forum.however if you are truly interested in the truth. It really would be better to contact them
personally, they are in the phone book and someone would be
glad to talk with you at your convienence. I am privileged to be

My grandpap's whole family are Jehovah's witnesses. My grandpap is a Christian. One big difference between witnesses and Christians is the fact that Christians believe that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are 3 different parts to the same entity/person. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus was actually the son of God, and they call him the Arcangel Michael. They also said when the religion first began that they were the prophesied 144,000 in the Bible that got to go to Heaven. There have now been more than 144,000 witnesses since it began; therefore, they claimed a false prophecy, which in the Bible renders the "religion" false. I know also that they are not allowed to enter churches or synagogues for any reason.....this leads me to think that the leaders are scared that they will realize that their beliefs are not based on anything substantial. My great aunts have been trying to convert us for years, but it hasn't worked. My advice to you is pray about your decision before you decide.

Hey, I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses..

Allow me to answer any questions that you want to know; here is my e-mail address:

Pitoayala1@yahoo.com

But I will give you a few things for you to know so that in the future individuals like the ones who post comments here won't give you the wrong answer about us...

First, Jehovah's Witnesses is not a cult, a cult is a group of people following a man...

We follow Jehovah and only the Bible

We believe that Jehovah is God's personal name and that Lord and God are titles and also Jehovah is one God not three person's in one...

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, he died for mankinds sin, and through his shed blood we will in the future be able to experience the conditions that Adam and Eve lost in the Garden of Eden.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God's active force not God himself..

We believe that there is a heaven and only a few are selected to go to heaven to be priests and Kings over the earth with Christ...that number of people are 144,000...

We believe that the literal earth is not going to be destroyed but the 'earth' or 'wicked human society' will be eliminated along with the 'heavens' or 'the governments and kings of the earth'....

We believe that the rightous will inherit the earth forever and that the rightous will not experience pain, suffering or death anymore in the near future...

We don't believe that their is a place known as Hell, but we understand through the accurate knowledge of the Bible that it does not exist

And the words She'ol, Hades, and Gehenna which the word Hell comes from....means nothing more than 'the common grave of mankind' and Gehenna is nothing more than an ancient garbage dump in ancient Jerusalem located in the Valley of Hinnom....

We believe that the Soul is the person him/herself and that the Soul can die and the spirit is not a immortal person living in within us but a 'life-force' that enables us and animals to live, just like a battery or electricity helps operate or make 'alive' any electronic device...

We don't have a clergy class..

The Watchtower is a guide a help for all God's servants to be able with their aid to come to an accurate knowledge of Bible truth, just like the disciples and apostles helped the congregations in ancient times and so it is the same today...

We don't celebrate pagan holidays, even though they seem good on the outside but again we don't want to displease our heavenly father...

Here is an illustration: "If you saw a piece of candy in the mud would you pick it up and eat it? No of course you wouldn't, pagan holidays seem sweet and good but come from a bad source!

I'm pretty sure people would want to know this, but yes the message that we deliver we believe that it is truth...and that Jesus Christ is the 'way to life' not through one of us...we can aid you but you have to walk the path, we can't do it for you...

I can go all day writing to you what we believe but just like a baby, you can't feed a baby a cheese steak, but you feed a baby milk first, right? So same with you and any who wants to know the accurate truth of the Bible, you need to take baby steps until you are ready to know the deep things of God...

Hope to here from you, also Pray to Jehovah through the name of Jesus Christ and ask Jehovah to send you one of his servants to come to your door and help you come to an accurate knowledge of truth...

The information that I can give you over the internet is good, but the impact that it should give would not be the same as telling you this face-to-face...so I don't mind answering questions over the internet but trust me, teaching you the truth of the Bible is better face-to-face...

And don't worry what others say, if you want to know the truth, ask the source not those who think they know what they read and say!!

Until next time, have a good day!!

My great aunt became a Jehovah's Witness when I was a boy, many years ago. I still remember how upsetting it was for the family when we were shunned at first because we were still with other religions, and then they started witnessing to us. It got to the point where that is all they wanted to see us for, and it became harrassing. Finally, it came down to "them" and "us", and things have never been the same since -- all because they could not respect our wishes to live our lives as we wanted.

You really should think long and hard before you get involved with them -- on any level.
