No. He never thought of himself as Jesus. The kids that followed him around just made a bunch of wild stories up like him finding a dead bird in the desert and breathing on it and bringing it back to life. Manson denies this claim. And DOES NOT think he's a messiah.

On another token, a lot of parallels can be drawn between Charles Manson and Jesus Christ. They were both born to mothers who were "questionable". Both born without a father. Both were kind, loving people, both were teachers/ philosophers, both were burdened with the punishments of other people's crimes.

Here's an answer from a similar question:

Charles Manson did nothing wrong. He never killed anybody. He's being crucified for others killings. He was born to a whore of a mother with no father and no name. He lived a hard, lonely life. He was institutionalized most of his life, and when he got out, he was suddenly exposed to all this "new" stuff. Free love, drugs, rebellion against the establishment. He didn't corrupt the kids, the kids corrupted him. He just wanted to be left alone, but these kids kept following him around and thought of him as Christ. They made up wild stories such as him breathing on a dead bird in the desert and bringing it back to life, which he adamantly denies. The people that actually did the murders got much lighter sentences and he was sentenced to death.California abolished the death sentence the year he was supposed to die, so he now has life in prison. He'll never get out because San Quentin makes tons of money off of him.

Charles 'Tex' Watson was from Texas. Not Charles Manson. He came out of California.

Tex Watson was one of the people who did the killing of the Tates and LaBiancas on Manson's request.

Manson played like he was a Jesus figure if it served him at the time.

Charles Manson was born and raised in KY. He thinks he is Jesus and Satan rolled into one person. And yes, he had a following, though it wasn't just women. He talked a few of them into going to a movie star's house and kill her and her mother.
