Happy Birthday, dear, when it is time! Can you talk to someone, your sister; or another trusted adult? I suggest you do that, perhaps talking to someone you can trust will give you some better insight.

I would try to talk to your parents and explain to them (without confrontation) you don't feel as though you are as valued as your sister. Ask what it is that makes them go above and beyond for your sister, but not for you, ask them if you have angered or disapointed them in some way that you are not aware of. Whatever the questions you want answered are try not to accuse or get angry that will only cause more problems. Try to keep yor head up,and I hope things get better for you.

Perhaps you should wait til your Birthday and see what happens there. Never under estimate a familys love.
Perhaps there are more things going on with your sister than you know....I do hope your family pulls through for you on your Birthday.

Don't worry I know how you feel my sister is five years younger than me and she doesn't get exactly what she wants because my mom and dad didn't spoil us when we were little. Anyway I would be crying and stuff but you know, here's what I've learned just go with it because if they didn't love you why would they keep you? Also tell your sister so she know's how you feel you maybe somethings will change

You should tell your family that you don't get enough attention. Tell them that they are not meeting your needs and that they are for sure meeting your sisters needs. Trust me. If they laugh at you then try moving in with someone new. A whole new family to start and someone who loves you very much and were proud to take you in. You might be happier. But try talking to you family first.

If she's throwing you a surprise party, she can't tell you ahead of time. Happy birthday, and I hope I'm right for your sake. (maybe your sister will drop a hint.

Go have your own party, I am sorry your family is like that. That really sucks. When you start your own family make sure you don't do the same thing yours did to you.

Be pessimistic whenever you talk to your parents, ignore them. Don't try to please them. Get on with your life. Someday, you won't be around them and they figure out what a failure your sis is and wonder where you are. But by that time, you'll be successful someplace else and they'll be sick and dieing and sorry they never noticed you. =D
