I am terribly offended by the Media calling these people IMMIGRANTS they just send the wrong message out to their viewers. My parents are immigrants because they came here legally every one that miggrated to this country LEGALLY are the true and only IMMIGRANTS not the ILLEGALS.

Yes they are immigrants but by calling them immigrants they are sending out the wrong message to the public. Because all immigrants are going to think they are against them legal or illegal.

They are being very "PC". You would not want to say anything that might offend them. But then what difference would it make, it is not like they would understand, considering they refuse to learn the language. I agree that the founding of our great nation was in immigration. We are all immigrants to this country that is true. The sad fact is that we now live in an age when it is necessary to close our borders for our own safety. If these people want to live here so badly, do so legally. That is all that is being asked of them. I know getting into the United States is difficult, but anything worth having is worth fighting for. At that why don't they work to make their homeland better, rather than turning thier backs. If they are not willing to come here legally, why would they be willing to obey our laws once they come here? They don't, AND THAT IS A PROBLEM.

Undocumented immigration (Illegal) is a major national security issue for our country. The media wants to embrace these folks not realizing that our enemies will (and have) used thia against us. I am all for documented immigration. But the folks here criminally need to go home and our system needs to prevent them from EVER coming here without being documented.

What the criteria should be for that documentation I will leave for another debate. (But speaking English, understanding the American Constitution and Way of Life, and having a useful skill are a start)

And do you also call White Canadians and New Zealanders that overstay here also ILLEGAL immigrants, or just those South of the Border? What many forget is that they were HERE in the Southern States (known as Spanish Domain and recognized by the Social Security Administration as such) BEFORE many of the immigrant waves came over (Irish, Italians, Germans, Chinese, Japanese, Slav, Pols, etc) and were pushed back across the borders when the Northerners took over... they took the land from the Native Americans? They inter-married, perhaps, but not usurped the lands as some would like to believe... Oh, by the way, those South of the borders are also part Spaniard and, if any of you bigots remember who Columbus was employed by... Spain! So, there's more to history over who belongs and who doesn't... MAN made the borders to confirm to their vested interests and personal agendas... but not the original people of these lands who were massacred by those that came from Europe, not from South of the border to work and live in peace.

YOU are offended by what? WHAT have YOU done that others have not? Where is it that it says that YOU have a greater voice than those that have defended this country with their blood, sweat and tears and the lives of loved ones?

Those that have European background came and now want to keep others out... ooops, quick... shut the barn door but be careful that your tails don't get caught as the barn door slams shut!

Probably because they're trying to sell that exact idea to the public. I once had the unfortunate experience of working with some college twit who was studying broadcasting, talking about 'educating the public'. Well, 'bullshitting the public' is more like it, as far as I'm concerned, and good riddance to people like that.

Illegal aliens may be trying to pass themselves off as immigrants, but in fact they're breaking the law, and if your first step in entering another country is to break a law, it's not far to go until you get to your 2nd, 3rd, 50th transgression, and if you enjoy amnesty in the eyes of the law, so-called 'hands off' immunity from enforcement because some fat bucket of crap politician has deemed it necessary to give you a free pass to come to our country and **** up at will, what's to stop you from literally getting away with murder?

We, as citizens, are expected to adhere to and abide by the law.
So, whence comes the double standard for 'guests'? The answer's pretty evident, monetary influence, people trying to 'buy' their way into the United States, or get our representation to sign off on BS policies that'll ultimately just help them to get MORE money with which to FURTHER mess with our political system.
That's why it's so important to have the public accountability,
the fiscal transparency on campaign donations and so forth,
because bluntly spoken, the illegal immigration problem we see today starts noplace else than on Capitol Hill. Over about the last 8 years we've seen a LOT of stories talking about lobbyists and funny-money contributions, well we don't need the Mob running our country. Other countries have that problem, we don't need it in the United States. Neither oil mobs, nor drug mobs, nor any other. Integrity, that's what it's all about, the capacity to resist any such influences and ensure that good laws are passed and then enforced. Had the immigration laws been effectively enforced as they stand on the books today, there would be no immigration problem now. Since they weren't, there's now somewhere between 12 and 20 million people in our country that no one has ANY clue who they are, where they are, or what they're doing in our country to begin with, it's assumed they're working...but some of that 'work' has already been shown to be building new ways to sell more illegal drugs and perpetrate their crap in our country. So, it's time to call 'bullshit' on the way that our immigration laws have thus far been executed, and hand out Kleenex where necessary, and start sending people home.
If they wanna do work permits or somesuch someday, that's all good and fine, but that's after, after the borders get enforced,
and this whole 'sell citizenship for 50 bucks' business gets done away with. There's more to life than 'growth', and at 300 million people, we've already got sustainability problems in our country, water tables and so forth. So, maybe it's not such a hot idea to bring in 100 million hard-luck cases over the next 30 years, which is where our previous 'policy' was taking us. Here's to congratulating Congress on their newfound insight on the issue...

"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

The media always try to make something bigger then it is and they try to get us the viewers to believe the bull crap there telling us. I believe they shouldn't be so hard on are immigrants because America is built on immigration no one really owns this land but the native America themselves.

the American Civil Liberties Union defends illegals and at one point in time they did call them illegals on TV and news but the ACLU screamed to the FCC, some people found it offensive to be here illegally and be called illegal, so to risk not being taken to court they wont speak the truth

These folks need to go back home and file the papers necessary to come here legally, enough is enough, we do not need 500,000,000 landscapers. If you listen to the right radio stations they do call them illegals. Time to switch that dial to KFYI. We should quit bitching about it and have a nationwide rally against it.
