osteo arthists in the thumb?

I have osteo arthists in my thumb, I was told I was very young for this I was 42 when the dr first told me. My thumb hurts alot.. does anyone share this problem? And is there anything i can do to make it better?

it is osteoarthritis, or inflammation(itis) of the bone(osteo) arth(joint). i suggest going to see your family doc or get a referral for a orthopedist, they'll probably have therapy that will work. you might want to take some aleve if you don't have any stomach problems to help the pain a bit.
