If the insurance commission regulates bail bondsmen in Texas, try there first.

As other posters pointed out, you need a large sum of money to cover bonds for those who don't show up for court. Start as a bounty hunter and work your way up the ladder.

I am guessing that you do not have a bunch of money that you are willing to give to strangers so they can get out of jail. That's what a bail bondsman does.
What you want to do is to WORK FOR a bail bondsman.
Find a bonding agency (look in the yellow pages) and go down and ask them if they are hiring and what the job requirements are.

Best way to get information on Bail Bonding in your area is to talk to a local Bail Bondsman. In most places you have to file through the county Circuit Court, have no Felony convictions or and conviction of moral terpitude. Check with your local court house and see what their requirements are, and btw...you don't need to study law...LOL

you apply to some of the companies that do it.

Or if you are rich you can apply to the courts to allow you to write bonds in their courts, You have to be rich or work for a large company that does bonds, since if the person does not show up for court, you have to pay that bond.

so most people work for bonding companies that exist.

Study law and the intricacies of bonds.
Then apply for a job in the nearest courthouse near your house.
