Not unless you are in the drive through lane for renewals.
It is not a crime to have an expired license; the crime is driving with one. As long as you are not driving, the people at the license bureau don't care. They will take your money and renew your license just like everyone else.

Just go get the new license and don't stress over the details so much. They don't care. Besides, the licensing bureau doesn't issue tickets. You can always tell them someone dropped you off. How are they to know?

No, no one will ask.
Don't worry about it--you just go in and get it done. You already have a ticket for it, there's not much more harm that can come of you. You're trying to get it corrected.
If I recall correctly (I may not), you may have to retake the driving portion of the test if it's too expired. My father let his expired and had to retake the driving portion. Not exactly the most fun thing in the world.

I have done the exact same thing. I just looked over my shoulder the whole way & was very careful to obeay all traffic laws. I was a little nervous as well, but nobody asked me. Just go in, pay your fine, get your license renewed. Just take a good book or something to keep you busy while you wait :)

Make sure you don't have any past due tickets.
A friend of mine was arrested when he tried to renew his license and forgot about a past due ticket for not using his seat belt.

just don't worry about it! half the ppl in line ave DUI's, expired licenses, or none at all...and they all drove in themselves... and most ppl who work there are just looking at the clock anyway and wait for 5 o'clock to roll around...

Probably not. Be safe & ask someone to take you though. When I lost mine, I didn't think they'd bother to ask how I got there. Well this ONE time, the clerk did. She even got her supervisor to go out to my mother's car to ask who drove. Most of the time, they don't give a fig. But just ONE time & they could ask.

More than likely they will not ask you how you got there. Where I live they don't usually do that. If you are really concerned about it, have a friend drive you instead.

They won't. Believe me, they don't care. They're part of an entirely different bureaucracy than the traffic cops. Just get in line.
