Not that I don't love you guys, and all. But every now and then it would be nice to take the time to read a really well-argued, carefully-worded, and spell-checked proposition on some religious, philosophical, or spiritual topic; which would require that I stop and think about it, rather than firing back with "No, you idiot."

And if I ever wanted to write something thought-provoking and insightful, it might be nice to have other people actually read it and respond intelligently, rather than typing a one-word answer so they could get their 2 pts and move on.

Of course I will continue to spend MOST of my waking hours right here. But if I wanted something more, where might I look?

Just a thought--- when I am looking for stimulating rebuttal or response to a question and I'm not getting it, I look for people who have historically given intelligent responses and E the question to them.

I spent many years at http://www.shirleymaclaine.com/encounter/ forum "Encounter Board" having great, well-thought out, intelligent, mature discussions on various topics on spirituality and religion. It's a members section which keeps out the crazies like we find here. You can actually browse the discussions first before joining. There are so many different topics on the forum. I highly recommend it. You do not have to be a fan of Shirley to participate in the discussions. It's just another great place on the net for people like us that are hungry for mature, spiritual discussions. I've developed great friendships from there throughout the years. Everybody is from all different walks of life and backgrounds.

By the way, those who post disrespectful, insulting, immature posts are booted off the site.

I have found that www.silverravenwolf.com is very RESPECTFUL in the chats dialouge. Also, there is a thing called Chronicles, were you can write about anything you want, as long as the content is clean. Plus it offers a comment section for the readers of the Chronicles that you write. The chatters there are open minded and very pleasant to talk with.

>It's real difficult to get intelligence in a "Religion and Spirituality" forum. You would have better luck in a site that deals with reality.<
