I always see them posting in a Religous topic. Making no points just blabing there is no god oh your fools blah. So why are they such zealots on their beliefs? And to the atheists reading I challenge you to set proof.

I'm not Athiest, but I'm Agnostic, and I can't proof that athiest's are right, but I can't prove that you are right also. For one athiests will argue that there is no god because the bible has some discrepancies with historical findings... such as the world was created 6000 years ago. This is problematic because of the Findings of Dinosaurs. You could argue that God created the bones and everything like that to confuse people into not believing. Another is the Theory of Evolution, which is practically proven except there are problems like where the very first organisim came from, which we can only theorize about. So you can tell that God created this first organize and therefore created us. The third is the big bang theory. Most people believe in this... but everyone knows something can't be created out of nothing... therefore God created it, but this poses the question where did god come from, which starts the cycle over again but with god, and he couldn't have created himself so there are too many mysteries in both directions to thereby prove that either one is right.

It is logically impossible to prove a negative, like God does not exist; the burden of proof is on the person making a positive claim. That is why in court people are innocent until proven guilty; the person making the accusation has the burden of proof. For the same reason, I am innocent of having a creator until proven guilty. So the answer to your second question is, at least in this case, an atheist has nothing to prove.

As for why are atheists so "zealous" about religion, that is easy to explain. Blue laws (stuff like alcohol not availible for sale on sunday), states where atheists can't hold political office (there are still 7 states with this law), and tax money given to groups who will not allow atheists to join (the Boy Scouts) or religious groups for "social work"; George Bush's faith based inititatives, and people being listened to who confuse a religious and the legal definition of marriage (otherwise the gay marriage issue disappears). Seperation of church and state is eroding! (1)

They're trying to convince themselves.

There is a Spirit within each of us that knows its connection to the universal spirit. Our egoic mind tries to keep us from becoming conscious of that Spirit, because it fears that it will lose its identity in the Unity of all. Among other things, the mind chatters ceaselessly about how wrong and useless spirituality is.

They have a need to find meaning and are attempting to make themselves sound right by belittlng others. A feeble attempt, but an attempt. Just pray for them and walk away, it's pointless to argue with a fool.

i'm not against religion per se, what i AM against is the apparent total lack of formal education in religious communities. simple things like:- "why are there so much" (many)
"religous" (religious)
"blabing" (blabbing)
"oh your fools blah" (oh, you fools, blah!)

nuff said? sic!

The same way Christians do. They offer nothing but quotes from the Bible and how Jesus died for our sins and how everyone who doesn't believe like them will go to hell and blah, blah, blah. They can't even offer any rationale or logic in their arguments.

I'm agnostic, I don't know if there is a god or if there isn't.

So many signs point to yes and so many signs point to no.

I hope there is but if there isn't, ah well..... we'll all find out soon enough

How about us Agnostics. I have proof for that, no one can know or not know for sure, and that is the truth, that can not be challenged, I win!

No offense to you or anyone else but there are some over-zealous believers (be it Christian or otherwise) that show up on here, too...some of whom say some very nasty things to those who do not believe as they do.
