Dogs and other animals don't tend to shed much until they're grown, and the average age of a dog being considered 'adult' is 1 1/2 (average meaning that different sizes grow at different rates).

So, she would start shedding about now. Additionally, the way an animal's coat and shedding is regulated is by daylight. The longer the day, the more fur is shed. As the days get shorter, the dog sheds less and less, preparing it for winter.

If you are worried about it I would call your vet and ask him but I wouldn't worry about it that much because I have a dachshund, which I have had for 6 years and she sheds all the time. It doesn't matter what time of the year, she sheds.

Could there be any changes in food or in lifestyle. One of my five dogs is still shedding where the others have been done for sometime.

my mini did this at the beginning of the summer. You may want to have her checked out for parasites and possibly start adding suppliments for her coat ( you can get them at petsmart). My dog had worms from the mosquitos and after the oil suppliment helped greatly.

Try changing her food,. It could be a sign of malnutrition.Even if you've had her on the same food forever, as dogs get older their dietetic needs change.
