The only way thats gonna happen is if you have software that can read & decode copyrighted dvds 2 copy them. The software also has to have a compression feature (most do) wich will allow for the compresson of movies that are bigger than the standard 4.7GB dvd-r's, so that the movie can fit on2 that disc. Other than that if you have dual layer dvd-r's, the compression feature is not needed.
Try some programs like dvdxcopy, dvd shrink and or clone cd.

You can compress the file. WMM (Windows Movie Maker) is free with Windows and, before you write the file to disc, it asks you what type of disc you're gonna use, and then adjusts accordingly. Alternatively, you can write to dual layer DVDs, (DVD-9) for which you need a new-ish DVD burner.
But I think you'll find that all blank DVDs are 4.7G, not 4G.

Try using dual layer dvd's. they are expensive, but worth it. I use them with Nero all the time.
