What can I do to remove the nest safely - does anyone have an economical viable solution to this problem?
Please be serious, I dont' want silly immature answers. Thank - you.

Mix dish detergent and water in a high concentration of detergent and throw it on them. The detergent gets on their wings causing them not to be able to fly, then they will fall to the ground. I do this with genii wasp that have hundreds of wasp on a nest.

Perhaps God can send a flock of seagulls to eat the wasps. Supposedly he did that in Salt Lake City to rid the city of locusts.

Wait until dark, because they are less active then. Knock down the nests and take care of business - quickly.

THE ONLY ITEM IVE FOUND THAT WORKED WAS EXPRESSILY MADE FOR WASPS..... AND YOU COULD STAND ALMOST 6 FT AWAY FROM THE SUSPECTED NEST.....IT SHOT A STREAM AND ALSO ALLOWED YOU TO RUN BECAUSE THEY DO COME AFTER YOU.....YOU NEED SEVERAL CANS...YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET IT AT ANY GARDEN CENTER OR WALLMART GARDEN DEPT...A SEARS GARDEN DEPT OR LOEWS OR HOME DEPOT.

Smoke, it does the trick every time. Just be careful wasp have a nasty sting, you get more than 10 that sting you all at once and it could kill you.

For a practical solution, just whack it with a bat. That'll teach 'em they're not wanted.

WASP SPRAY OR WAIT UNTIL WINTER WHEN THEY ARE HIBERNATING AND IT WOULD BE SAFE TO REMOVE THE NEST.
