Only a slut would date at 14, 17-18 is about right but it depends on the parents/ children. I made my daughter promise me that she wouldn't date till she was 35. She was 4 at the time, but I'm still going to hold her to it.
Oh yeah you girls up there that started dating at 14.... YER SLUTS, and your parents didn't love you.

There is no certain age that someone has to be before they should date. You're asking the wrong question. Its not am i old enough? its whether you think you are emotionally ready to have a relationship. If it's one of your first, having a fun friendly relationship is good. Just because you would have a boyfriend doesn't mean you have to be serious. In short, never put yourself into a situation that would put you at risk for any type of sexual activity you don't want to do agaisnt your will. Also, be careful. Having a broken heart hurts and you're most likely not going to marry the first boyfriend you have. SOooooo you should jsut have fun and do what you think is right. In the end, its YOU that is out on a date with that hottie you met last week, NOT your mom. She's just watching out for you, and who knows... she could be jelous. haha

it is my suggestion: situation one: You take a seat along with his dad and mom and say which you have an interest in a dating with their son yet comprehend what a 19 300 and sixty 5 days previous and a sixteen 300 and sixty 5 days looks like. assure them the dating isn't sexual and which you spot your self attracted to him while he turns into an person. situation 2: permit the boy down particularly. His emotions are genuine for you. he's extremely involved in you. sixteen 300 and sixty 5 days previous boys are very green with concerns of affection so he hasn't theory for the duration of the dynamics of a 19 and sixteen 300 and sixty 5 days previous being mutually (person and newborn) and how mushy society is to that style of element. it is likewise very complicated considering that 3 300 and sixty 5 days distinction in human beings you a protracted time is extensive. A 19 300 and sixty 5 days previous's in simple terms placing out to fly into existence and possibilities while the sixteen 300 and sixty 5 days previous continues to be in school construction that danger. a 19 300 and sixty 5 days female's adulthood point is a techniques way bigger than a sixteen 300 and sixty 5 days previous boy. frequently a three 300 and sixty 5 days differnece is not any enormous deal yet on the specific a protracted time you're, those 3 years create a great distinction.

Your mom has been overly protective....but for good reason. She wants you to be as mature as possible before taking that important step in life. You should respect her wishes until you're 18. Six more months isn't that long to wait. After all you've waited this long!!!!!

In the mean time learn all you can about whether or not you want to be sexually active (that's part of what your mom is all about). If you do you need to know how to protect yourself from unwanted pregnacy and Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

You also need to learn about the 'male species'. LOL! That's what being friends with them and dating is all about. And, yes, you need to learn how to protect yourself from any harm. You need to get some street smarts.

Just take life slow for now. You have the rest of it in front of you and you don't want to make any more mistakes than necessary. It's not bad to make mistakes, it IS very uncomfortable and can affect the rest of your life. Just LEARN from your mistakes and don't repeat them.

Do all this and you'll be just fine! Good Luck for a happy and fulfilled future :D

I know it seems like a big deal now, but six months will come and go before you know it. You might as well just wait it out because mom is not going to budge and as long as you are still a minor and living under her roof, you kind of don't have control over it. Do I agree with her? Not really, but she is the adult. But seriously, six months is like the blink of an eye. You will make it.

as a mother of 19 children i think group dates should start at age 16 and dates alone with boys should wait until you are 18. before 18 you are still forming your own opinions on what is acceptable behavior on a date and what is not. at 18 you are more prepared for the situations dating will put you into. date rape is not just perpetrated by those you just met one of my girls was almost date raped by someone she had known for most of her life at a party with parents in the house. be on the safe side and wait for age and desirability
