Drug Misuse is taking prescription medicine in a manner that is different than prescribed. Drug abuse is using controlled substances that haven't been perscribed for you or are illegal.

Drug Misuse= Taking Oxy Cotin and a Whole Bunch of Tylenols To get Fukted Up!

Drug Abuse= Smoking Heroin And PCP Outta The Same Bowl!

Misuse is when you take the wrong drug for the wrong symptoms.
Abuse is when u take the drug for self-satisfaction or to get yourself high.

Misuse: "Man! I'm having a bad day!"....."Here, take one of my Xanax it'll 'smooth' things out!"

Abuse: Going to a dozen different doctors to get the same perscription. Using any banned controlled substance.

if you take zanex to relief your headache, that's misuse, if you smoke ten joints or more a day, that's abuse
