i am just wondering. i was in hawaii on a ship and it was hard to get back to AZ because the security was so tight!!! because of the attack

There was no attack.
A group of terror suspects was arrested in the UK. The authorities alledge that their plan was to attempt to blow up a number of airliners enroute from the UK to the US using bombs assembled on-board from chemicals disguised as common carry-on items such as tooth paste, hair gel, etc.
Early evidence indictates that they were in the mid stages of implementation of their plan. Many did not even have passports yet and none of them had purchased tickets. The authorities have not publicly stated if any chemical bomb components were discovered during the raids or during the subsequent investigations.
Since the full scope of the plan was not known, and many potential suspects could exist and be unknown to the authorities, somewhat draconian security measures were implemented in an attempt to prevent that type of materials from being brought on board. Although most of the restrictions remain in effect, security delays have pretty much returned to normal at most airports now that the general public is aware of the restrictions.

The reason for the ban is beacuse that the terrorists hid explosives in regular consumer product cases for gels and liquids...obviously they repaced the origonal contents with explosives. They planned on detonating the explosives in the lavatory just using a regular digital watch alarm signal...scary stuff

The terrorist's plan was foiled. It had to do with normal chemicals made into a bomb and colored the color of red gatorade and placed in a gatorade bottle.
All liquids are banned.
Wow, that was a while ago....must have been a nice cruise!

they think terrorist is gonna put some exploding liquid in them, so that y it is ban from airport
