Have any CHRISTIANS here on Yahoo Answers, read Victory over Darkness and the The Bondage Breaker by Neil Anderson? If so, do these books teach that Believers have the authority through Christ to "bind" Satan and/or Demons, and "loose" them...cast them out...of a home or person? If so, what do you all feel about this? If not, what exactly does he teach?

I have not read both books yet, but wanted to ask the above questions of others who have already read them? Also, what exactly does "binding" and "loosing" mean accord to the WORD OF GOD????? I thought it meant to follow Biblical truth as laid out by God, but lately I've heard many say it refers to spiritual warfare. Thanks

Binding and loosing is the authority granted only to the pope and bishops of the true church, not just any old schmuck.

It's best to avoid messing with demonic forces unless you're properly trained and equipped.

That kind of knowledge isn't found solely in a book.

Beware.

I think its important to notice that many books in the New testament do not even bring up Satan except in passing.
In Romans he is mentioned in like th e2nd ot last verse

"and God will soon crush Satan under your feet"

so while it is an importance issue, there are far more important ones to focus on

I wouldn't care if he did. I think of it all as gluttony for power, and a lot of nonsense.
