I initially started doing bodybuilding years ago and due to my soft and sensitive skin, the skin on my palms and fingers tend to peel off quite badly after each workout and decided to stopped bodybuilding and concentrate healing my hands and fingers first. But till today, the condition continue to worsen and the skin tend to crack with just the slightest scratch, contact with water and doing simple stuff like tying my shoelaces. My hands and fingers become like a thick mass of dead skin cells forming up like nothing on earth! Often at times, I am easily irritated at the sight of dead skin cells forming on my hands and fingers and tempted to peel or scratch off the dead skin cells off my hands and fingers till they turn reddish! I have avoided washing my hands, reduce the frequencies of baths and also tried using several moisturizing creams and still did not work for me! Could the manual peeling of the skin or nature of my work(construction worker) aggravated my conditon? Pls help me!

Moisturising creams will not work, as you have found out. They contain some of the worst chemicals including such ingredients as Sodium Laureth Sulfates, Parabens (each parabens contain anywhere from 30-60 ingredients each, EDTA is highly toxic and many contain alcohol which in turn dries the skin out. Some even contain formeldahyde they call it by another name (can't think of at the moment).

I highly recommend applying Nui (Promounced New) brand of 100% pure coconut oil. This coconut oil has antibiotic properites and is pure, will alleviate the condition, with marvellous results, you will be amazed. If you were bodybuilding, can I assume that you were taking chemcials (from one source or another) the chemcials are your worst enemy, even if you were getting products from the health store, many contain some highly nasty ingredients that I would not want to put on my skin let alone injest.
Hope this helps.

Go back to bodybuilding and wear gloves.

To address the peeling skin on your hands, first use an exfoliant, such as oatmeal or store bought (the green Lava or pumice).

Then use a lotion with Aloe Vera and add a few drops of Vitamin E oil to it. You can find pure Vitamin E oil at drug or health stores, get 28,000 IUs or higher. Use this often.

Continue to bathe and wash your hands, just use the lotion right after.

Also, since you're a construction worker, you may have touched something with an acid on it, which is causing the peeling. Wear your PPE at work.

Psoriasis is a disease that takes place when the body’s immune system mistakenly believes healthy skin cells to be enemy cells and starts to produce many more new cells to replace these cells. This is the reason why there is no cure for psoriasis and medications applied to treat psoriasis are only able to remove the symptoms temporarily. Don't go the "cream route", it's only just a waste of time and money. Been there Done that!

You need to read "Psoriasis Free For Life" by Katy Wilson if you want to cure your psoriasis for good. Available online also @ http://www.psoriasisforeverfree.com It's a book that shows you how to cure psoriasis naturally in a few days. I cured my psoriasis permanently in 6 days after reading this book. Good luck!

My friend used to have the same problems. He got rid of it really quick. Use Clay Masks that dries up oil BUT only use it once to twice a week because it dries out your skin. Wash face regularly. 3 important things: Cleanse, Moisturize and Tone. You can try getting the 3 in one facial washes. Since you have dry skin you can add in moisturising step once after facial wash. Do not pick at the acne or you will get scars. DO NOT use facial scrubs they will irritate the acne. Try not to go for facials; if you have acne they do more damage than good. Try to constantly dab your face when you start to sweat; so as not to clog your pores. Dont apply makeup on acne. It will run its course then fade. Once they start to fade, continue doing these steps to clean up till its completely gone. And it would be best to keep the hair off from your face; you could clip it up. Dont fret too much on the acne. It will clear up. try this mask: Olay Daily Facials Intensives Deep Cleansing Clay Mask

This is where a manicure may help out.

If you can't go in for one (or don't want to) then get a home kit. Soak, exfoliate & moisturize... when you're done, put something on your hands and cover with gloves to hold in the moisture overnight and sleep.

That should help you out.

Good luck!

Hey,
Home remedies are the lowest cost treatments for dealing with psoriasis. More often than not, they are all-natural cures and won’t harm you with harsh side-effects. Not all results work for all people and it may take trying a few different remedies to find one that works for you.

Consult a dermatologist you may have a type of fungus or viral infection. Being that you are exposed to many elements with your hands at work or in the gym, you could have picked something up. Actually sounds like a type of athlete's foot on your hands. Good Luck Honey
