I believe you can, but your job category placements might be limited. Also it depends on how badly the specific service needs you. If you are planning to join the Army for example, they will be much more accomodating compared with say the Air Force which is Force Shaping.

The only glitch is that you get ruled from such career fields as Air Traffic Controllers plus some IT jobs.

I encountered some people with the Red Green Color Blindness at the MEP but I believe not all of them were disqualified just based on that problem.
Good luck.

Yes, you can still enlist. I know a lot of people that are color blind and still served. However, you wouldn't be able to go into some MOSs. Some examples are MP, NBC (Chemical Ops.), etc. You could still be a mechanic, driver, supply, etc. Talk to your recruiter about all of your options.

I hope you find something you like. Good luck to you and thank you for your willingness to serve our country.

You'd be limited to the jobs you can have, but you can join if you're color blind. Just talk w/ a few recruiters and ask them what is available for you. My husband is in the Navy and his good friend, who is also in the Navy, is color blind.

The Army accepts color blind applicants. However, there are some jobs you would not qualify for.

I was in the military with colorblind people. It made no difference back then, maybe it does now I don't know. It could affect the job you will be doing in the military though.

Yes you can but you are limited in job selection such as electronics because you need to see coloring on wires and resistors.

Yes, you can enlist. Your selection for a job will be limited though. You wont be able to do anything technical. Check with your local recruiter.
