It's not "bad" per se, but if both parties don't have the maturity and clarity to handle the changed relationship afterwards, the friendship might be irrepairably damaged.
Personally I would keep my very very very very best friend as my very very very very best friend. Plenty of girls out there who are just as attractive and eligible if not better.

not bad sometimes it can be the best relationship you will ever have in your life as long as you both can agree that the friendship comes first and if things don't work out sexually you will never give up that friendship then it fine.

If you guys can keep it to yourself and not act around other's that anything ever happened then you can get away with it. Don't tell no one. Can they keep a secret to that is the key.
