Tamas !!
Any individual who has developed spiritually will always display all good qualities, these manifest naturally, as a symptom of self realisation.
The nature of the spirit soul is thus, this is "sudha satva", the real essence of life which is far, far superior to anything material, that is displayed by entities who are entangled in the complexities of cause and effect, within the boundaries of the modes of nature that bind the living entity to pursue, what is perceived to be the highest pleasure, whilst simply hovering on the mental platform

Just as predecessors have said, we, as humans, are animals. Just because we are supposedly civilized and are capable of a higher thinking ability than other species, doesn't mean that we can't revert back to ... a natural state and just appreciate primitive pleasures. Some people in this world do not want to taste higher pleasure; they find activities/pleasures such as yoga, politics, meditation, tai-chi, whatever other experiences that are out there, to be petty, mundane, boring, too complicated, or just something that is not fit for them and/or something that they would not want any participation/affiliation with. Most people in this world, I believe, are simple, yet materialistic people. And in this modern, fast-paced society and lifestyle most choose to lead in our world today, most people do not think they have enough time to sit down and to take the time to enjoy higher pleasure.

Do you think that they are mutually exclusive? Sexual energy can be a gateway to higher consciousness. In addition, other "primitive pleasures" has their place and value in the evolution of the soul.
We believe there really is no failing here, its a learning process that still needs work over time.
Don't worry enough people will get back on track, we are headed in the right direction. Although right now it appears not.
This message is for you, but it might confuse the fundamentals who would read this.

I find pleasure in the great outdoors - rivers, waterfalls, plains, and mountains. I find pleasure in the beauty of God's various creations - people, bears, deer, birds, etc. I love backpacking and camping. I love mountain biking. I love to worship and sing praises to the Lord. There are many pleasures in my life and sex is no where near the top of my list.

I dont know, since people live in ther minds, you would think working on your mind would be rather important
as I understand it, there are three things that are known to help avoid or lessen the chance of altheimers
1) cross word puzzels
2) reading
3) dancing
all involve the mind somehow
live it up

Primitive minds result in primitive pleasures.
Higher minds result in transcendental pleasures.

If the gods wanted us to only have higher pleasures, they'd have made us as adrogynouses.
