No it should not be mandatory, but SPEAKING English should be required in high school or anything, We should not have to learn their language, after all this is AMERICA, the most spoken language? ENGLISH.

i don't think it should have to be mandatory, but it's good to know different languages. but i do think that everyone should learn sign language. there are a bunch of deaf people, and hardly any of the population of the world can speak to them, because they don't know how. i think it's sad when a deaf person goes shopping and no one can help them because they don't know sign language. it's the universal way to speak with the deaf, so i think in the long run it's the most valuable. it's also fun to be able to talk in code. my friend and his brother did that in classes that they had together, and they could never get in trouble for signing.
english is not the most used language either. it's mandarin chinese.

YES, ENGLISH. the most common language.
Mexican wouldn't hurt.
Mexichink is going to be the new international language.

Yes, I do because it allows students to be open to different cultures. Also, it's really cool to learn new languages. I wished my school offered more choices. It's my fourth year learning Spanish and I think it's awesome!

english is the unversal language but it doesn't hurt to know french
