That amount of weight in 4 months is unhealthy. Why would you want to do that to yourself??? Think about the reason before you actually take drastic measures to drop a few pounds.
To lose some weight... Become more active. Take more steps no matter what you are doing. Stop eating the horrible carbs and reduce the ones that are not so bad. (We do need some in our diet)
Remember that it doesn't matter if the scales say you weight 80 lbs if you don't like your self it doesn't matter.

If you find the answer to your question, I sure would like to know because I don't really think that is possible. And if for some reason you do lose 80 lbs. in 4 months, you will be skinny but ill. Such drastic change is not good for your body, you can develop many illnesses.

I think that anything short of radical surgery..... 80#'s is a tremendous amount of weight to lose regardless of your current frame and size. I agree that you should still diet and exercise and lose as much as possible, but I also feel that you need to consult a doctor to ensure that you are physically able to exercise without putting your health at further risk. This really sounds like an instance where having your stomach stapled and some liposuction might be a decent way to get you started. I wish you the best of luck in reaching your fitness goals, and be safe.

The more weight that you lose in a fast time, the greater the chances are that you will gain it back and more. You want to gradually loose weight following a diet plan and exercise. Find a plan that is right for you and try it out, if you don't successfully lose weight (at least 4 pounds in 1 month) I would suggest going to your doctor and talking to them about wanting to lose weight. 80 pounds in four months is 20 pounds per month, it can be done but it's highly unlikely and unhealthy for you. All people want to lose weight fast but it takes forever to lose it and not much time to gain it. Take it step by step day by day and you will feel much more better if your loseing weight and healthy at the time. Try cutting calories, cut out soft drinks, drink more water, no fatty foods, cut sweets, and watch your carbs. Try walking at first but don't overdo yourself, walking is the easist form of excerise. Good luck.

You are asking for trouble to try anything like this without having band surgery or gastric bypass. It is just nearly impossible without those drastic measures. At the very BEST, I would not expect more than 8 - 10 pounds a month, and that would include aerobic exercise, walking, light, repetitive weight training and serious rethinking your eating habits.
Remember, to lose weight you must use more calories than you consume. And WATER, WATER, WATER.
Good luck, dear one....do not become discouraged.

You shouldn't for way too drastic of a weight loss-will damage your health. Go to a doctor and ask for sage weight loss progam. You can lose weight by cutting way down on sugar-I use Strivectin-plant derived and doesn't cause cancer in animals can get at health food stores,Increase water for essential to weight loss 7-8 glasses daily.eat vegetables raw and steamed-avoid sauces esp cheese based, fruit in moderation for have natural sugar-apple,strawberries,blueberries(ll the berries are very good) and eat Baked chicken or turkey--no red meat incl Pork or very little for loaded with hidden fat-pork is not white meat-keep track of how much you eat-portions instead of large plate use smaller plates-also avoid alcohol if must 1 glass of wine in the evening for alcohol is high in calories- the why of the beer gut-Not only do you HAVE to eat a healthy balanced meal(s) no drastic diets for ruin your metabolism and always gain weight and more back once off the diet. You Must move-Jog,trail walk-can also do in a city park,swim,dance,sports-tennis-walking is good if you walk at pace to work up sweat for use all the muscles and good for bone health and if you can afford join a Gym-health club. In order to lose weight you must use more calories than you take in-all unused calories no matter the source turn into stored fat. Also fast food and a lot of restaurant eating is out esp the fast food-high in calories and fat. TV also has channel that has fitness classes-i go to a gym for lack discipline to work out hard at home-also jog and trail walk a lot in the park-but after I cut down on sugar is when I started really losing. Good Luck

You really can't. But you can work hard and lose 20 pounds, and you will be feeling so much better that it will motivate you to keep going. Try not to have the attitude that "If I can't lose 80 pounds, I might as well not bother."

thats dangerous, if not impossible without some costly surgery.
one pound = 3500 calories
80 pounds = 280,000 calories
so you need have a calorie deficit of 3500 calories to lose one pound. you need to calculate your daily metabolic rate plus any activities for how many you burn each day, then adjust it for the amount of calories you eat.
a good website with a calculator for this is www.caloriesperhour.com
it will tell you your metabolic rate based on your height and weight. it also has calories burned for different activities, so you can figure all that out too. Plus a weight loss calculator. check it out!
