Its not Contagious but someone with it should not drive or even play the computer. Some things that Cause Seizures is Flashing Lights, Head Acks, finger nail polish and remover. a ton of things can cause it you just have to see what triggers his seizures and keep him from them and make him take his Meds. Epilepsy is a disease that is caused by an abnormal firing of the cells in the brain. A grand mal seizure is caused when the entire brain is firing these incorrect impulses. There is no know cause for epilepsy. It is usually controlled by medication or in cases where medicine does not stop seizure activity, surgery.

I'm not sure if it's considered a disease or a condition. But there are a number of things that might cause it. Genetics is one, as it seems to appear in families. Another is overexposure to certain kinds of lights, such as the flickering of computers or video games.

Apparently a siezure is caused by a kind of short-circuit in the brain, when brain cells start firing seemingly randomly. There are medicines that can control it: A neurologist can recommend something.

Good luck!
