No word, chow in Spanish. Ciao, pronounced the same way, is Italian meaning either hello or goodbye, but is used internationally.

Asi asi means so so in English

"Asi-asi" is supposed to mean "so-so". It bothers me when Spanish students end up learning this word, because I have only heard a native speaker of Spanish say it once. Native speakers overwhelmingly say "bien", not "asi-asi", when you ask them how they are. As far as I'm concerned, you can forget about this word.

"Chau" is a word that was borrowed into Spanish from Italian. In Italian it's spelled "ciao". It means "goodbye". I usually hear it repeated twice: "chau chau".

My wife is native Colombian (Bogotá) and I have visited with her family now in Bogotá six times. "Ciao" is used often but I have rarely heard the people there use "asi asi." "Pues" is very popular, though.

¡Ciao!
