I'm looking at Popular Photography or American Photo

I prefer Popular Photo over American Photo. Popular Photo contains many sections for techniques, editing, and general photo and equipment tips. American Photo tends to cover portfolios of the "great photographers" of today and equipment rather than covering tips and tricks of the trade.

Popular photography and American photo are good choices but you may also check shutterbug, they often times have helpful write-ups for entry level photographers.

I'm not sure about a magazine, but I subscribe to beliefnet.com and this was sent to me from that website. These are some beautiful pictures and the photographer gives information that you may find helpful. Cambridge in Colour. I will foreward the attachment to you. Hope this is useful. If nothing else you can enjoy the pictures, technique, lighting etc.

Hi, I recommand you to try google picasa.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google
