I got married in 1975. 9 months later he was out of my life.
I am an independent woman who has found that a person is just fine without a spouse.
What about you...what is your take on "singlehood?"

i think singledom is great for the most part but it has its losses sometimes you want to be loved and cared for romantically-and as others were saying ya get horny they're in handy too ;) i'm in a relationship and i couldnt be happier though sometimes i want to ducttape his mouth shut ....

Dune darling.....youv'e answered your own question, but I 'll agree with u. Being single has it's up's and down's And I' am sure u know what I mean. Though their's nothing wrong with a date for an evening, u can decide for yourself if u want to get serious or not. U have choices, go to school to earn a degree,u can travel meet nu friends, learn their cultures etc...but it your choice, with know one to give an accounting except to yourself. But, their are those who to have a compatible companion to share their life experiences. Apparently...youv'e made a choice and your enjoying it,and that's good. But I wonder if u still have any fond memories of your marriage? Keep up the good work

i was single up until 2 yrs ago as far as ever living with anyone ,,and i hated it. now im happily in love and living with my man. i know independence it good because i have done it for so long. but now that i have the man i have been looking for my life is complete,,,and hes a great step dad to my son. so i guess to each his own. it all depends on peoples situations i guess.

I like not having to rely on a guy for my needs. If I can take care of myself thats all I need. Although the sex thing does tend to be a problem...
