I used to be in love with this person and I would literally think about them all day, there wasn't a minute where they wouldn't be on my mind and then i switched classes so i only have one class with them and i all of a sudden don't like them anymore and it sucks because i fall in love soo quickly but then it just fades.

Because we were raised on fairytales and dreams of grand delusion. Life is a bitter nasty thing combined with moments of joy. No one is ever what they appear to be, for better or for worse.
Falling in love is considered to be a fairly new phenomenon. Marriage was for practical purposes, not love, for a very long time. It is all about survival baby, the media wants you to keep buying into the dream, but life is tough and you have to be smart.
Romance is for the young or stupid. If you are young, enjoy it. as you get older you find that the TV and movies are not what life is really like, that is why we do it, to get away from the truth of our hard lives.
