Well, I can relate. I've gone through several periods of that in my life and have been hospitalized for suicide attempts 7 times. The thing is, you have to try to look at the positive and try to ignore the negative thoughts you are having. It sounds stupid, but it really makes a big difference. You might feel silly at first, but just humor yourself, fool yourself, whatever you have to do to look at the bright side and stop focusing on the negative. Life can really suck sometimes, but you're here on this earth so you might as well make the best of it! You may also have a chemical depression, where your neurotransmitters in your brain aren't supplying wnough serotonin. try taking vitamin B complex and Omega 3 fatty acids (Fish oil pills), get pletny of sunshine, exercise and even try yoga. try a new hobby.
Good luck and take care

You have not mentioned your age. However, in order to help you I would like to share my views. 20 years ago, I was also feeling miserable and looking at the end my innings. But then I took control of my self and started thinking positively. Believe me within a few weeks, everything started happening my way and today I am a very happy man with two grown up boys and we are a happy family of 5 (my mother, wife, two sons and a dog). Think positive. Good luck.

YOU.. are programing yourself to fail! Count your blessings...don't worry so much about what you can't have..but....appreciate and be thankful for what you already do have! Don't live in the past....by ....ASKING "WHY..WHY"?.. Don't worry about the future...it may not ever happen... LIVE...today....as if it was the last day of your life.....because you never know... it might very well be! We all go trough hard times in life and look we are still here... You are ALIVE.. be thankful... You have a way of asking for help, advice, or whatever you need. Concentrate on the little things that make you happy.... those are free and can fill you with love... It is hard times that make us stronger, if we did not suffer......we would not know how to appreciate....happiness. Look for positive people and surround yourself with them. Remember good times and love ones, and whatever you do...don't say life is cruel ....everything happens for a reason. Thank you for reminding me.....why...I'M STILL HERE!.... Thank you for allowing me to share a minute of my time with you. Remember.....when...the night looks the darkest.... DAY..breaks!

Sounds like you are suffering from depression. Have you gone to the doctor to be diagnosed? You really need to do that. There are times when all of us think that life is cruel to us. Just remember that every cloud has a silver lining.

I know just how you feel. I look at another person like my sister, she has money, looks, great job, nice vehicles, condo (very expensive) paid for and hates herself and treats people mean. She is very selfish. I feel better about my life already just typing that. Please believe that you are not alone. Many of use in here at Yahoo Answers feel the same. I started back to school , the change of schedule helped me a bunch. Hang in There.

You think the glass is half empty, not half full. Sounds like you have depression. If you are unable to think positive thoughts, see your Doctor. May be a physical condition. Seriously.
