She appears restless and wont leave my side I have recently found out that I am not well, do you think she knows

I am convinced that our dogs are so tuned in with us; they know how we feel and have compassion. For whatever reason your dog knows that something is not right with you.
I would consider this one of the nicest gifts you can have. What a lovely relationship with your friend; something to be forever cherished for as long as you have that dog. I believe she will live a long time.
She needs to feel your strength now, to calm her anxiety about you. Try to be emotionally strong and give her peaceful gestures.
You might enjoy "The Dog Whisperer" on TV National Geographic. The show features "Ceaser" who really understands dogs. He fascinates me!

My dog does that but only because she is spoiled. Dogs can tell when things are wrong with you too. I recently watched a program where a some dogs could use their ability to smell and detect cancer, diabetes, and even when someone is going to have a seizure.

I bet she does know. Animals can sometimes sense these things. Dogs can be trained to predict epileptic seizures before they happen. So, she probably knows that something is "wrong"

Dogs can detect all sorts of illnesses. Cancer, seizures and heart troubles have been detected by dogs. She knows and she wants to be a comfort to you. I'm sorry for your illness but so glad you have someone who cares. Best wishes and best of luck.

Dogs have a distinction of whether something is wrong or not. They can tell if you are hurt or not by how you react. She loves you and is your companion so yes she knows.

Yes, dogs have an amazing ability to know if someone is sick. I know they can detect cancer, I don't know if that is what you are going through.

as far as following you around you are the leader her queen and she is devoted to you. sick matbe but thats not why she following
